There are two international airports in Bangkok. One is Suvarnabhumi airport and the other is Don Mueang International airport. Places to visit in Bangkok
Bangkok is a fascinating place for tourists. I love exploring places by myself so we had toured for half day and other half day we were going to explore by ourselves. So first half we explored the city with our guide.
Lot of Asian temples of Lord Buddha and beautifully constructed. One of the most famous is Golden Buddha.
Bangkok is most famous for Wats Wat Trimitr, which is a temple of the Golden Buddha. In this temple you can see a 5.5 ton statue of the holy Buddha made from solid gold. And a fine example of Sukhothai art and Wat Po. The Wat Po is a temple of the Reclining Buddha, the largest and the oldest shrine of its kind in Bangkok. And there are so many WAT if you want to visit.
There are many temples of Buddha beside Wat Trimitr. Grand Palace is also one of the famous temple. You can see some of the glimpse of Asian architecture. Look at the colors and carving its outstanding.
Safari World with Marine Park is a Thailand's popular open zoo and leisure park. There are mainly four areas in the park, which is Safari Park, Bird Park, Games Corner and Macaw Island. The Safari World Park is the best place to be for animal and bird lovers. You can see dolphins, orang-utans, seals and a myriad of other exotic animals and birds amidst a picturesque African setting. http://www.safariworld.com/
After the half day tour we rest for a while, And for the rest of the day we get fresh and started exploring by ourselves. Our hotel was providing complimentary boat shuttle till one point and then we decided to walk or take the bus and explore the local market.
Local peoples are helpful. If you think you are lost somewhere you can ask to a local shopkeeper. Not everyone knows English well, but somehow they will manage to explain you :-) :-)
Local Market and China Town:-
There are enough options to enhance your shopping experience. Normally we go for shopping in the mall. But in Bangkok you can go to the street market, Floating market, China town or night market. And all places provide you different experiences.
You can shop local stuff from these markets. And you can bargain as well, so be careful while shopping. There are other two market Phahurat Little India market and China town are also famous among the tourists.
ASIATIQUE night market:-
Another thing which you can enjoy is ASIATIQUE night market. They have huge Flywheel over there, so you can enjoy riding and stunning view of Bangkok as well. There are many shops and restaurants over there so you can do shopping and dining as per your wish. If you love exploring the local market than spare at least 3 to 4 hours. You can find many locally made stuff like scarf, handbags and house decoration stuff. Also, you can enjoy local flavors on roadside or maybe check into the restaurant and enjoy fine dining.
The Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall is a former reception hall within the Dusit Palace in Bangkok, Thailand. It now serves as a museum and is from time to time employed for certain state occasions. Visitors to the Throne Hall should be aware that "appropriate dressing" is required for entry. For men a sleeved shirt (short-sleeves) and trousers are required and long skirts for women - no shorts, ripped jeans, short skirts or sleeveless T-shirts. Women in long trousers are not considered 'suitable'.
